Fleet Management is a key support service for many internal and external customers at Coventry City Council. We are responsible for the repair and maintenance of approximately 500 items, including vehicles and plant machinery and equipment. We also provide fuel to our customers and offer a driver training service.
In this role, you will undertake MOTs, taxi tests, service, inspection, repair, and maintenance of various vehicles. The work ensures adherence to DVSA standards, taxi licensing policies, and health and safety requirements.
Working Hours: Mon - Thurs: 6.30 am - 3.00 pm; Fri: 06.30 am - 11.30 am.
Who are we looking for? In addition to your vehicle repair and maintenance and MOT tester qualification, you will have extensive practical experience in fleet service, repair, and maintenance of vehicles. You will know the legislative requirements of legally maintaining class 4, 5, and 7 vehicles. A flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to a changing working environment to meet customer needs is essential.
