We are now looking to grow our underwriting team with additional Underwriters to ensure a swift and efficient service to our car finance customers. Our Underwriters are responsible for assessing customers ability to repay loans, making credit decisions in line with company criteria, credit policy and within service level agreements to ensure excellent customer journeys. The Underwriting department operate between the hours of 8am - 7pm Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm Saturday and 10am - 4pm Sunday and we offer flexible working patterns to ensure cover at all times with full and part time hours available. The role Our Underwriters deliver exceptional service, working closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to make fair and responsible credit decisions based on customer information swiftly and diligently. They liaise directly with Motor Dealerships and Brokers to assist with their queries and build relationships to ensure we are their finance provider of choice and deal directly with customers to ensure all required information is gathered to process applications. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to providing outstanding support to our internal Account Managers and passionate about getting the right outcome for the customer. Ownership is one of our core values therefore you will take responsibility for your own efficiency and productivity whilst proactively seeking ways to improve processes and procedures through identifying inefficiencies. What you will bring Underwriting experience would be advantageous but is not essential as long as you have a strong customer facing background in financial services and working knowledge of lending application processes. This is a fast moving team therefore quick and accurate keyboard skills and excellent attention to detail are required, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
