£27 - £37 per hour
Randstad is excited to partner with Newcastle's Children in Care and Care Leavers Team to recruit a dedicated and skilled Social Worker. Join us in a vital role where your expertise will lead to positive outcomes and enhanced quality of life for those we serve.
Are you an experienced social worker with a passion for supporting children in care and care leavers? In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, planning interventions, and working collaboratively to support and empower children in care and care leavers.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting thorough assessments of children in care and care leavers to identify risks, needs, and strengths.
2. Developing and implementing care plans to support the safety, well-being, and successful transition to independence of children in care and care leavers.
3. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and community organizations to coordinate and improve care.
4. Providing support and advocacy for children in care and care leavers, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in line with legal and professional standards.
Qualifications:
1. Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
2. Proven experience in a social work role, preferably within children and family services.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with children, families, and professionals.
4. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social care and safeguarding.
