The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.
This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods, and thriving communities.
About the Position
The City of Stirling is currently seeking a Horticultural Services Operator to provide attractive, safe, and well-maintained parks, streetscapes, public places, and environments that enable quality urban life while protecting and conserving sustainable natural and urban environments. To improve city-wide sustainability outcomes by providing services and support to the City and community.
Key Responsibilities
You will be working within a small team environment, undertaking landscape maintenance of streetscapes and facilities, within Parks and Sustainability Business Unit including operating and maintaining minor plant items, tree and shrub cultivation, tree and shrub planting, mulching, mowing or edging established lawns, and general gardening duties.
About You
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply; all applications will be considered.
* Year 10 Certificate.
* Previous recent experience in gardening in the same or a similar role working in an amenity horticulture environment.

This permanent, full-time position is a Level 5 Outside Workforce Agreement position attracting a salary range of $70,970 - $74,200 per annum plus superannuation.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have the ability to obtain a:
* A copy of Australian driving licence
* National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
* Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
* The right to work in Australia
