We are currently looking for a Cost Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Cheshire area. As the Cost Engineer you will be responsible for supporting a Campus Project Services team with project lifecycle activities such as capital applications, capital asset structure management and SAP. This is an initial 12 month contract with likely extension. The role offers 1 day of remote working per week. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties as the Cost Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. As the Cost Engineer you will be responsible as main point of contact for all Capital Approval System queries, as well as liaising with Finance and Department maintaining all project portfolio maintenance and queries. 2. As the Cost Engineer you will Manage the overall project and portfolio budget, work with the project team to ensure cost capture requirements are in place and complies with company procedures. 3. As the Cost Engineer you will track expenditure against progress, drive cost accuracy and ensure timely and accurate reporting to ensure all cost and contract transactions on a project are understood and managed in an appropriate way. 4. As the Cost Engineer you will work in close liaison with the Project Team to support in the preparation of project cost Baseline Changes, as well as support the Project Manager to develop project performance reports and dashboards at a project and portfolio level ROLE REQUIREMENTS: To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Cost Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: 1. Relevant degree in an Engineering related discipline with approximately 5-10 years of experience working in Cost Control / Cost Engineering. 2. Proven industry experience in risk management, project reporting, stakeholder management and influencing skills. 3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Pharmaceutical GMP would be an advantage.
