Role Overview:
The Building Fabric Surveyor is responsible for managing building maintenance, compliance, and project delivery across a diverse campus. This includes designing, procuring, and executing long-term maintenance plans and refurbishments while ensuring safety, compliance, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver maintenance projects using internal and external suppliers.
* Manage budgets, tender documentation, and compliance with financial policies.
* Develop lifecycle maintenance plans and ensure works are logged in the CAFM system.
* Oversee refurbishment projects, quality standards, and contractor management.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, conducting audits as required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience: Managing maintenance/construction projects, interpreting drawings, and coordinating contractors.
* Skills: Strong project management, communication, and IT skills (MS Office, AutoCAD).
* Qualifications: HNC/HND in a construction-related field, NEBOSH, and City & Guilds technical qualifications.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience leading project management teams and familiarity with related construction disciplines.
* Recognized management qualification or coaching experience.
