We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Workplace Assessor to join our award-winning team. Assessors use their knowledge to monitor and ensure apprentices are being taught valuable skills that translate to their work in the production site. As a Workplace Assessor, you’ll stay involved in the workplace while ensuring the next intake is receiving a quality education throughout their apprenticeship journey.
Responsible for the apprentice administration and coordination of programmes, developing processes, training matrices, maintaining records on apprentice learning and development initiatives to enhance reporting within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establishing systems and procedures to streamline and support managers/Trainers; ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the service we are offering is the best it can be.
* Working with managers across the business to ensure effective development plans are in place for each apprentice program.
* Assisting with the performance development processes; ensuring documentation is returned and logged in line with the procedural timelines and reports produced, working with the other members of the Apprentice Academy team, as necessary.
* Liaising with line managers and delegates to ensure all staff are booked on required events within agreed timeframes.
* Conduct fair, safe, and reliable assessments of candidates' skills and knowledge in their respective workplaces.
* Assist the apprentice manager in the building of a Company Training Plan to complement the apprenticeship programme we currently have and to improve where required.
* Provide support for Functional Skills when required.
* Develop a culture of continuous improvement, working with management team, supervisors, team leaders and shop personnel to improve quality and efficiency.
* A genuine enthusiasm for mentoring and skill development within the engineering field.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively manage personal workload.
* Participate actively as a member of the engineering assessment team, contributing to the continuous improvement of assessment processes and practices.
Requirements:
* Knowledge and experience in using computer packages: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
* Time Served – Engineering (Manufacturing).
* Introduction to Safeguarding Children Training Course (Level 1 Safeguarding).
