The job holder will be responsible for the technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and project management skills to successfully deliver electrical and control system solutions across industrial projects and bulk materials handling and drying plant and machinery. As an EC&I Engineer you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and commissioning of electrical and control systems across various industrial projects. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical regulations, working with PLC design and commissioning, and assisting in the planning and execution of electrical projects. This role requires a strong technical understanding of electrical distribution systems, automation, and industry standards to support project success.
Personal Qualities:
BSc/BEng degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical/control engineering
Ability to interpret and apply engineering codes and standards
Understanding of mechanical and control processes
Experience with electrical/control software and tools
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Analyze technical drawings, interpret specifications, and determine electrical/control requirements.
Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and engineers to develop designs.
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software.
Recommend cost-effective solutions while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
Conduct risk assessments, propose mitigations, and oversee on-site activities.
Maintain clear, effective communication within project teams.
