The Role:
* The role would suit a Service Engineer primarily with a mechanical background with the addition of electrical engineering / software programming knowledge.
* Delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, installation and commissioning of company equipment at customer premises.
* Preparation of visit reports detailing activity whilst onsite at customer facilities.
* Identify opportunities to offer the customer machine upgrades & enhancements to benefit their production.
* Generally, this would entail a 5 day working week with frequent time being away from home covering the UK and occasional International trips.
Requirements:
* The ideal candidate must be time served with a relevant trade qualification.
* You will have strong experience in Hydraulic, Pneumatic and commercial mechanical systems.
* Understanding technical documentation and layouts.
* Computer systems competence including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Highly organised and a clear communicator.
* Ensure all safety and performance standards are met both working independently and as part of a team.
* Experience working independently and with other engineers.
* Be adaptable to changing demands and conditions as jobs progress.
* Managing multiple projects.
* Punctual and reliable.
* Technical Communication skills, working with multiple machine production sites across various continents.
* Independent working both on and off site.
* Professional communicator both on and off site.
* At least 2 years working as a mechanical fitter within a CNC machine environment.
* Electrical or PLC knowledge would be advantageous.
