A Newborn Hearing Screener is required to join our friendly team based at St Richards Hospital Chichester.
The successful candidate will participate in the provision of hearing screening in newborn babies within the West Sussex area, under the supervision of the Hearing Screening Team Leader.
These positions will include some weekend working.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners Newborn Hearing Screening.
The post holder will carry out the hearing screening of babies within the Post-Natal Ward, Delivery Suite, Special Care Baby Unit, and outpatient departments. Following the screening test, data will be transferred onto the NHSP database (S4H). Ensure accurate test results are given to parents and other healthcare professionals as required, and notes are completed. Arrange referrals to the Audiology Department for diagnostic testing when appropriate and deal sensitively with any parental concerns.
