Repairs Advisor
Location: Edinburgh/Glasgow/Hybrid
Remuneration: £25,764 - £26,792 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
The Detail
As a key member of the Repairs and Voids (Available Homes) Team, you will ensure an efficient and effective service is provided with excellent customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining our statutory and regulatory compliance of the inspection and servicing programmes relating to our properties. This includes recording, monitoring and actively seeking the relevant records and certificates while working closely with contractors to ensure the business is 100% compliant and KPIs are met.
To work collaboratively with all key stakeholders to deliver Hanover’s safety compliance programmes.
Main Duties:
* Receive enquiries and defects via our voice recorded phone system, e-mail and other means from customers and employees and record these on the housing management system.
* Gather all necessary repair details to ensure the correct prioritisation of work orders and that contractors are appointed.
* Allocate and issue work orders to contractors, liaising as required with technical teams for advice and with appropriate contractors, employees and customers regarding the instruction of works.
* Monitor contractors’ completion of works to agreed targets and liaise with contractors to achieve completion.
* Check, match, and process invoices for authorisation and payment, coding to the appropriate cost centre, including apportionment as required.
* Receive contractors’ requests for variation of works, review and agree these, referring cases to the Repairs and Void Team Leader where required.
* Arrange and record inspections of vacant dwellings, arranging works and raising recharges to outgoing customers, where necessary, from the void checklist.
* Arrange for void safety inspections and all other void repairs, ensuring completion, receipt and forwarding of certificates.
* Deliver key business objectives and ensure that all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) meet their target and that all data required for the Annual Return on the Charter is recorded accurately.
* Deliver a high-level customer service experience ensuring our customers are always kept up to date via phone calls, email, and text, and that any repair is resolved within its allocated timescale.
* Receive and act on complaints received from our customers, acknowledging these, and referring them to the Repairs & Voids Team Leader.
