We are looking for compassionate and experienced tutors who have worked with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Looked After Children (LAC), and those who have experienced significant gaps in their education. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years experience and a solid understanding of why these students require dedicated, one-to-one support. Key Responsibilities: Provide personalized tutoring in core subjects, focusing on bridging gaps in education for children with SEMH and LAC. Tailor lessons to each student’s specific needs, ensuring a holistic, supportive approach that fosters confidence and growth. Help students engage with their learning in a way that respects their emotional and social challenges. Build strong, positive relationships with students to encourage trust, engagement, and progress. Understand and address the impact of disrupted education, using patience and flexibility in your approach. Key Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience working with children with SEMH, LAC, or those who have had gaps in their education. A strong understanding of the emotional, social, and academic barriers these students face and how to effectively support them. Experience in providing one to one support, adapting teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of each student. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a positive and secure learning environment.
