Quality Engineer

Salary: £35,000-£45,000 plus other benefits

Attributes:
1. 3 years experience in Manufacturing Environment
2. APQP/PPAP experience beneficial
3. Self-motivated individual
4. AS9100 experience is desirable but not essential
5. Right first time approach
6. Ability to work calmly under pressure
Responsibilities:
1. Drive standardisation on processes along with waste elimination and continuous improvement
2. Support 8D activities on parts connected to internal or supplier quality concerns
3. Working on NPI products and supplier quality development, implementing new processes
4. Develop and maintain quality assurance throughout product development cycle for NPI
5. Collating material compliance data, report writing where necessary
6. Resolve customer issues in a timely manner
7. Champion problem solving with use of RCA tools such as 8D, 5WHY, ISHIKAWA, FMEA's
8. Handle internal & external audits
9. Monitor supplier performance, define process parameter to ensure process capability
10. Monitor output, quality & scrap rates. Improving OTD performance
11. Maintain records of products and approved suppliers
12. Identify, lead and participate in improvement project - member of the CI team
