The Sheffield Support Hub offers free mental health support to anyone in Sheffield over the age of 16 in a safe and supportive environment. The hub is open 6pm till midnight Monday to Friday and 2pm till midnight Saturday and Sunday.
Main duties of the job
As a Crisis Recovery Worker, working within a small team, you will be required to provide a high quality, recovery focused service to our clients who have a range of mental health and autistic traits as well as other support needs including learning disabilities, physical health issues, and substance misuse, whilst promoting independence and social inclusion. With experience of working within a community based, mental health setting, you should be able to inspire, engage and motivate people. The role will include one to one engagement, facilitating activities within the service and community, administrative tasks, signposting, and engaging people in other provisions.
Job responsibilities
Hours: 2 x CRW positions - 19 hour contract and 13 hour contract
Salary: £24,000 per annum, with progression to £26,500 per annum (salary will be pro-rata based on hours worked)

About the role
You will work alongside Peer Support Workers (PSW) and Clinicians to achieve the best person-centred care with the client for their recovery, whether that be joint working with other services to support them to make reasonable adjustments or PSW so patients can learn and practice skills. You will also work closely with mental health primary and secondary care, emergency services, and partner agencies.
About you
You will have experience of working with Mental Health and will be able to inspire and engage people. You will have the ability to identify barriers and understand client needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills. This will include one to one engagement and facilitating group-based activities, signposting, and engaging people in mainstream provision. It is essential that you hold a Health and Social Care level 2 or level 3 and be willing to develop further as the role requires.
