This is an opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the integration and wellbeing of refugee families arriving in the Highland region. Key Responsibilities: Co-ordinate the work of the wider refugee resettlement project group, liaising with internal and external partners. Organise and minute Local Delivery Group meetings. Attend and contribute to various meetings, both within and outside normal working hours, advocating for refugee involvement and awareness. Work in partnership with local communities to foster cultural understanding and support refugee integration. Welcome refugee families upon arrival and assess their support needs. Provide direct support or guide refugees to relevant services, including community groups and facilities. Empower refugees by informing them of their rights and how to exercise them. Highlight any gaps in available support or access and escalate them to the wider project group. Collaborate with service providers to help address identified needs. Record activities, maintain statistics, and prepare reports for the Resettlement Programme group. Always ensure confidentiality and respect for the wishes of the refugee families. Arrange interpretation services, when necessary, especially for complex information sharing.
