The Role This is a hands-on, 3rd line operational role covering business-as-usual (BAU) support and global infrastructure projects. You'll be key to ensuring the secure, stable, and efficient running of the organisation's worldwide network, while also supporting the implementation of new technologies and systems. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, resolve, and own network issues via internal ticketing system Ensure efficient and secure global network operations (LAN/WAN) Provide expert support for core networking technologies and infrastructure Collaborate with cross-regional teams and external vendors Produce clear documentation and implementation plans Uphold regulatory compliance and internal control standards What You Bring Strong problem-solving skills across complex network/system/security challenges Expert-level experience in Cisco networking (including Nexus 3k/9k) Deep understanding of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, QoS, and MPLS Proficiency with wireless (Aruba), firewalls (Palo Alto/Fortinet), and WAN accelerators (Riverbed) CCNP certification or equivalent knowledge Experience with monitoring and management tools like Solarwinds and F5 Solid understanding of network security and Layer 7 implementation Desirable Extras: Experience with Aruba ClearPass and 802.1x Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, O365), ExpressRoute Knowledge of VMWare NSX and software-defined networking ITIL certification and experience in professional services The Offer Location: Glasgow (hybrid working, 3 days in-office) Salary: competitive depending on experience Working hours: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hrs/week between 8am-5:30pm) Team Structure: Supportive, collaborative team based across Glasgow, London, and overseas office Extras: On-call rota (1 in 3), time in lieu for planned out-of-hours work, global project exposure If you're ready to join a forward-thinking IT team driving innovation in a secure, global enterprise - this could be your next move.
