Mechanical Design Engineers (Engineer / Senior / Principal)
We are currently supporting a number industry leading Nuclear clients on recruitment campaigns to support major projects. Looking for all levels from Designer up to Principal level Engineers.
We are looking for experienced individuals who have full design lifecycle experience.
Nuclear experience is preferred but not essential will consider other highly regulated industries.
Must be eligible for relevant security clearance
About the roles:
1. To apply engineering domain knowledge competently to provide technical solutions in the delivery of products and services.
2. Resolves specific technical issues and problems, compiles technical reports and accompanying presentations, provides, reviews and adheres to specifications in accordance with stakeholder requirements.
3. Assist in effective management of the customer, through interfacing with customers and supply chain on design issues and assist with procurement specifications
4. Ensure procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities
5. Provide a technical interface with internal and external stakeholders at a detailed level
6. Produce, review, verify outputs including: calculations, analyses, technical reports, technical specifications and method statements
7. Ensure appropriate review, verification and approval is undertaken on work performed
8. Plan, deliver and monitor assigned tasks and projects, ensuring requirements are delivered to time, quality and cost
9. Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority
10. Support the business winning process through input into or review of tender requirements, including estimates.
What you will need:
Essential:
11. Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience
12. Experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types
Desirable:
13. Chartered Status or actively working toward Chartered Status
14. Member of relevant institute or significant demonstrable engineering experience and capable of registration with the Engineering Council
15. Experience in managing engineering scope for Projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)
16. Breadth and depth of experience in a range of commercial or defence projects
