New Business Development Client Partner - (Banking & Financial Services)
My digital-first technology service company is looking for an experienced Business Development Client Partner to drive new business and revenue growth within the Banking and Financial Services (BFS) sector.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the BFS industry, a proven track record of winning new business, and the ability to develop strategic relationships with key decision makers.
Essential Skills
1. Proven track record of successfully hunting and acquiring new business in the BFS sector. Ideally 10-12 years plus.
2. Strong understanding of the banking and financial services industry, including key trends and challenges.
3. Proven experience of developing strategic relationships.
4. Exceptional sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close large, complex deals.
5. A strong technical background.
6. Experience of working for a private equity-led firm would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Business Development: Identify, target, and acquire new clients within the BFS sector, focusing on large and strategic accounts.
2. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
3. Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders at potential client organizations.
4. Solution Selling: Understand client needs and collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that address specific business challenges.
5. Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking progress and ensuring timely follow-up on leads and opportunities.
6. Negotiations and Closing: Lead negotiations and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company goals.
7. Onsite-Offshore and Global Delivery Model: Sell projects using an onsite-offshore model and a global delivery model, ensuring optimal resource utilization and client satisfaction.
8. Collaboration: Work closely with delivery, marketing, and other internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to execution.
You will have strong experience in the BFS sector and be well versed in most if not all these Banking/Financial Service areas:
1. Digital Transformation for Financial Service Clients: Able to leverage advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, blockchain, and cloud computing, we enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experiences, and enable new revenue channels.
2. Omni-Channel Customer Engagement: Ensuring that customers can engage with their financial services provider across multiple channels, including mobile apps, online platforms, and in-branch services. This approach increases customer satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Innovative Financial Solutions: Knowledge of mobile payments, digital wallets, AI-powered account analysis, and customer service chatbots.
4. Regulatory Compliance and Security: Able to navigate complex regulatory environments, ensuring that their operations are secure, compliant, and resilient against cyber threats.
