Due to ongoing investment in the millions into their site and a variety of exciting upcoming projects, this employee owned manufacturer in the Merseyside area are looking to bring in a Quality Engineer into their team to support with their continued growth, offering excellent working conditions, a family style environment, and vast training opportunities.
Role Description
* Develop and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance to ISO9001
* Support with New Product Introduction projects, also supporting with production trials.
* Work with customers, suppliers, and associated teams to ensure compliance, managing and resolving any non-conformances
* Generate quality and process related documentation - PFMEA's, Control Plans, work instructions etc.
* Oversee changes in engineering processes from a quality perspective
* Report on Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
* Lead a team of 3 shift QC personnel
Skills and Qualifications
* Experienced with core quality tools - FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC
* Experienced operating Polyworks, Faro Arm, and CMM
* Automotive industry or related experience is very advantageous
* Ability to interpret technical drawings
* Engineering qualification
