Economic Development Officer
North West Leicestershire District Council is a busy council, working across our communities to help people and businesses thrive. We’re looking for an Economic Development Officer to join our Economic Regeneration Team.
About the role
Our Economic Development Officer will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of initiatives to contribute to the delivery of economic regeneration across the district of North West Leicestershire. A key part of this role will be to support our Senior Economic Development Officer to deliver activities that drive more visitors to our town centres. This will include overseeing the delivery of many of the town’s popular events as well as creating an events programme for the newly redeveloped Marlborough Square.
Our ideal candidate
The person in this role will be able to quickly build rapport and maintain good relationships with a varying range of people including internal colleagues, voluntary and community organisations, businesses, business-related organisations, other public agencies, funding bodies, and council members.
You will have demonstrable experience in supporting events or supporting others to deliver events and will have previous experience of working on town centre, heritage, arts, events, or visitor economy initiatives.
Key Details
* 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £27,711 - £31,067
* Agile working scheme with a combination of home and office working
* 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 38 days after 5 years
