Job Title: Supervising Social Worker

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 per annum, depending on experience
An independent fostering agency dedicated to delivering exceptional care and support to children and young people. The mission is to ensure positive outcomes through a nurturing and collaborative approach. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview:
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be a key player in providing support and supervision to our network of foster carers. You will work closely with both the foster carers and children to ensure that placements are safe, supportive, and meet the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support and Supervision: Provide regular supervision and support to foster carers, ensuring they meet the agency’s standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Assessments and Reviews: Conduct assessments of potential foster carers and oversee the review process for existing placements.
3. Training and Development: Deliver training and development programs for foster carers, helping them enhance their skills and understanding of best practices in fostering.
4. Case Management: Manage a caseload of foster carers, including conducting home visits, monitoring placements, and providing ongoing support.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with children, foster carers, social workers, and other professionals to address any issues and ensure positive outcomes for children in care.
Key Requirements:
1. Social Work Qualification: You must be a qualified social worker, registered with the appropriate professional body.
2. Experience: Previous experience as a Supervising Social Worker within an independent fostering agency (IFA) is highly preferred.
3. Knowledge: Strong understanding of fostering regulations, child protection, and relevant legislation.
4. Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
5. Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality support and care to foster carers and children.
