Office Administrator - Construction
Location: London
Salary: Up to £40,000 (negotiable for the right candidate)
Start Date: ASAP (temp-to-perm option available)
Are you an experienced office administrator with a strong background in construction? A growing and well-established construction company is looking for a highly organised and proactive individual to take charge of their administrative operations.
The Role
This is more than just an admin role - they are looking for a "mother hen" who keeps everything running smoothly. The right candidate will not only handle day-to-day administrative tasks but will also bring fresh ideas and improvements to processes.
Key Responsibilities
Diary Management: Coordinating schedules and appointments using Tommy Soft, the company's planning software for site-based staff.
Communication: Managing calls with clients and tenants, arranging meetings, and handling general correspondence.
Bookkeeping Support: Working with Xero to assist with financial administration. This aspect of the role could expand into a full-time position, with an additional admin hire in the future.
Process Improvement: Implementing and streamlining workflows based on previous experience.
Requirements
Construction Experience is Essential - Must have prior experience working with a builder or a reactive maintenance company.
Strong administrative skills with experience in diary management and bookkeeping.
Confidence in liaising with clients, tenants, and site teams.
Knowledge of Xero (or willingness to learn) for bookkeeping tasks.
A proactive approach, able to suggest and implement better working processes.
