Position Overview:
The Events Coordinator for Festivals and Outdoor Events is responsible for planning, organising, and executing large-scale outdoor gatherings such as festivals, concerts, fairs, and community events. This role focuses on managing event logistics, ensuring compliance with regulations, and creating memorable experiences for attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Support:
* Assist in maintaining event schedules and timelines.
* Prepare and organise event-related documentation, such as contracts, invoices, and proposals.
* Respond to emails, phone calls, and inquiries regarding events.
1. Event Planning and Development:
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define event objectives, themes, and goals.
* Assist with detailed plans and timelines for festivals and outdoor events.
* Research and secure venues suitable for outdoor events, considering capacity, accessibility, and logistics.
* Contact venues and sites.
* Collaborate with community groups, artists, performers, and sponsors to align festival goals with cultural or community themes.
2. Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination:
* Source and manage vendors for services such as staging, lighting, sound systems, catering, and sanitation.
* Liaise with sponsors, performers, and community partners to ensure smooth collaboration.
3. On-Site Event Management:
* Work with the event team during setup, execution, and teardown of the event.
* Assist on-site with inquiries, accreditation, and administrative duties.
* Help troubleshoot and resolve issues during events.
Qualifications:
* Experience in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field is ideal.
* Experience coordinating large-scale outdoor events or festivals.
* Knowledge of event logistics, permitting processes, and vendor management.
* Familiarity with event-specific technology such as event management software.
* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
* Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Work Environment:

* Working onsite on event days is additional to the main role and will be paid accordingly to hours worked.

There is on-site work required, so must be able to travel to sites in the South East of England - Hertfordshire, London, Essex.

Pay: £1,050.00 per month
