Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a Metocean Business Development Manager to join our expanding team based in the heart of the southwest of the UK.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in driving growth and expanding our market presence and reach. Working as a key member of the commercial team, you will have a strong track record in the offshore wind sector, preferably with experience in the metocean and wind resource domain. You will bring a proven capability in supporting the development and execution of strategic business development plans, establishing strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and expanding our geographic reach and client base within the offshore wind sector. As part of the Partrac commercial team the candidate will work closely and collaborate with the commercial, tender and marketing functions within the team and support the management reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead business development activities to increase market share, position and establish new capabilities and services, drive revenue growth and deliver on targets.
* Lead on the development and implementation of “take to market” strategies for new services and new regions.
* Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of business growth strategy and plans internationally, in coordination with the Business Development Advisor.
* Collaborate closely with the Leadership Team to maintain and deliver a robust pipeline of opportunities, ensuring alignment with short-term workload and long-term growth objectives.
* Provision of reporting to the Leadership Team and Venterra Group on pipeline, business development activities and market opportunities and challenges.
* Work in tandem with other BD & Sales resources within the wider Venterra group to leverage company revenue opportunities and synergies.
* Evaluate and manage strategic business opportunities, partnerships, relationships, and alliances to support both established and new market entry.
* Develop existing customer relationships while pursuing new business opportunities.
* Qualify leads and support the go/no-go decision for new contract opportunities.
* Utilise and develop CRM database to track leads and provide regular pipeline reports to the Board.
* Support marketing and brand building activities, including through LinkedIn and website.
* Represent and promote services at industry events to enhance brand recognition and industry leadership.
About You:
* Bachelor's degree in Ocean / Earth / Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Energy, Business or related field
* Highly experienced in business development within the offshore / marine industries, with an established track record in the offshore wind sector.
* Ideally with experience in the Metocean and / or Wind Resource Measurement domain.
* Well-connected within the domestic and international offshore wind sector, and able to leverage relationships.
* Proven track record of achieving business growth through the development of existing customer relationships and acquiring new clients.
* Strong commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Willingness to travel globally as needed to meet clients and to attend industry events.
