Field Service Engineer – Road Machinery
Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We're looking for a passionate Field Service Engineer to join our client's dedicated Road Machinery team. This is your chance to work with advanced road machinery across the central belt of Scotland, including Stirling, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.
What You’ll Do:
• Hands-On with Advanced Road Machinery Equipment: Work closely with high-performance pavers and rollers, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Every day presents new mechanical challenges, keeping your work dynamic and engaging.
• Work Independently and Flexibly: Enjoy the freedom to manage your schedule, travel between various sites, and tackle technical issues head-on. No two days are the same, offering you variety and autonomy in your role.
• Be Part of a Specialised Team: Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals focused on specialist road machinery. You'll have the opportunity to expand your expertise and grow within this vital sector.
What We’re Looking For:
• Qualification: Formal engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds) in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural, or HGV Mechanics.
• Experience: Proven experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction equipment.
• Skills: Strong diagnostic skills, with expertise in diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electrics.
• IT Literacy: Comfortable with diagnostic software, email, and reporting systems.
• Essentials: A valid full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
Bonus if you have:
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Advanced troubleshooting abilities in hydraulics, electrics, and emission after-treatment systems (EATS).
