Teaching Personnel is looking for a Part Time (3 days a week) Teaching Assistant to make a positive impact in our partnership secondary mainstream school in South Bristol In this school, they create a learning community where everyone is valued. Needs are as follows: - Physical disabilities - Autism - Hearing and Visual Impairments - Social and Emotional Needs. Roles and Responsibilities include: - Supervise pupils with SEND, ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information presented. - Build a trusting relationship with all pupils and communicate according to their understanding. - Promote inclusion and acceptance, support diversity and ensure pupils have equal access to learning and development. - Undertake administrative tasks as needed. - Under the guidance of teaching staff, provide feedback to pupils, parents and carers about their progress, achievements and any problems that may have arisen. - Promote good behaviour and encourage pupils to take accountability for their actions. - Support the pupils with computer technology to access learning activities and assist them to develop competent usage. - Prepare, maintain, and use learning resources and assist pupils to use them. - Assist with pupil supervision, including before and after school and in break times. - Assist with the supervision of pupils alongside other support staff during a class teachers’ absence. Ideal Educator will have one or more of the following: - Experience in supporting students with SEN needs. - Experience within mental health facilities. - A creative and dynamic degree with a mindset to develop their skillset. - An ambition to become a teacher in the future.
