The Associate Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance will
Lead and manage Trust-wide quality assurance and compliance functions, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks such as Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
Develop and implement strategies that drive continuous improvement in quality and patient safety.
Provide expert advice to senior leaders, including the Chief Nursing Officer, Clinical Group Executives, and Directors, on compliance-related matters.
Oversee the Trust’s response to internal and external inspections, ensuring robust action plans and follow-ups.
Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and excellence across the organisation.

Reporting directly to theGroup Chief Nursing Officer, this role provides strategic oversight and leadership in delivering excellence in patient care and compliance with statutory requirements.
The postholder will lead the development and implementation of strategies to maintain and enhance quality assurance systems, ensuring alignment with national regulatory frameworks such as those set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, this role is critical in driving the Trust’s vision of delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care.
The Associate Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance will work collaboratively with the Corporate Nursing and Governance Teams to drive the Trust's commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and effective patient care. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the postholder will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership to ensure robust systems for compliance, risk management, and quality assurance are in place and effectively executed.
Develop and implement a Trust-wide quality assurance and compliance strategy that aligns with organisational goals and statutory requirements.
Act as the senior lead for all regulatory inspections, including preparing, coordinating, and responding to external audits and reviews.
Regulatory Oversight: Ensure the Trust complies with all legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, mitigating risks and maintaining accountability.
Provide assurance to the Board of Directors regarding the Trust’s quality compliance performance.
Lead and inspire teams to prioritize quality and compliance, embedding a culture of safety, transparency, and learning across the organisation.
Design and deliver training programs to support staff in meeting compliance and quality standards.
Work closely with Clinical Group Executives, Directors of Nursing, and external regulatory bodies to address risks, share insights, and drive improvements.
