Female Support Worker - Drivers

1. Location: Aldershot, Hampshire
2. Salary: £23,400 per year, pro rata + Benefits
3. Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis
4. Employment type: Full-time, Permanent

We are on the lookout for Female Support Workers who are calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to be able to drive and have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love.
Furthermore, as Support Worker you will be responsible for:
5. Daily activities such as personal care; laundry; meal preparation; medication and administration
6. Getting to know the people you will care for and help them to live the life they want to live
7. Taking personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to the people you will care for
8. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of
9. Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims
10. Planning and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities
11. Assisting the people, you will assist to manage their personal affairs making, preparing for, and attending any appointments
12. Ensuring the people, you will assist and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, and equality

We are looking for someone who can devote to 37.5 hours per week and are willing to work on a shift rota basis, covering mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Who will you be supporting?
At Fairways we support 6 adults with a range of disabilities including visual impairment, Parkinson’s, autism, epilepsy, mental health and learning disabilities.
The people we support enjoy going out for fun activities such as trips to theatre, Karaoke, shopping, bowling, swimming pool and short Holidays. Although, they do like cooking activities we are keen on going out for lunch and to the pub for drinks.
As a support worker your contribution will be invaluable. You’ll work as a team to ensure an outstanding support in line with our vision and best centred care. If you are looking to make a real difference, Fairways is the place for you!
Responsibilities
14. Providing direct support when displaying behaviours to enable them to participate in a wide range of activities
15. Ensure good working practice including understanding and awareness of health and safety
16. To promote independence and develop skills whilst assisting with all tasks necessary to ensure positive life experiences
17. To work positively with other agencies, parents, carers, and other services to ensure person-centred care for people we support
18. Develop and contribute to the maintenance of records and support plans and function as a Key worker when required
19. To support our people to maintain a clean-living environment appropriate to meet their individual needs
20. To participate in regular and ongoing training relevant to everyone's needs
