Teaching Assistant for children with Social, Emotional and Mental health needs

Academics LTD are working with an outstanding Special Education Needs (SEN) school in Reading seeking a Mental Health Assistant. This position requires working on a 1:1 and group basis with SEN students. This is a full-time long-term role, and the school is looking for the Mental Health Assistant to start ASAP.
The role will entail supporting children from ages 3-18, with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, Down-Syndrome, behavioral challenges, sensory issues, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.
The Mental Health Assistant will also require close collaboration with other SEN practitioners and members of staff to promote the well-being of students, as well as the completion of Learning Milestones and academic objectives.

* Demonstrated interest in working with children or in Mental Health
