The Role & Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced Housing Manager, to be responsible for the delivery of high-quality housing services on behalf of the Council through the development and implementation of housing services, to meet the requirements of the Housing Regulator, and any additional tenant services as required by the Council.
While the role crosses all areas of Housing Management, the post holder will have specific responsibility for housing tenancy and client services, tenancy sustainment, customer transaction and independent living teams. This Includes the line management of the relevant Team Leaders, to ensure they deliver high levels of performance and customer service.

This is a key role which will support the council in its ambition to deliver a first class housing management service, and is a dynamic and exciting time to join this dedicated team.
Who We Are Looking For
- A qualified and experienced Housing Manager (CIH Level 4 minimum) with at least 5 years Housing Management experience, at least 3 in a managerial role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local government procedures and regulatory requirements, and leadership skills to deliver an efficient and effective housing management service.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience in policy development and implementation.
- Extensive staff management experience
- A confident and effective communicator.
- Experience of leading on Local Authority or Registered Provider budget monitoring and procurement of relevant goods and services.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to undertake a Basic DBS check as well as a Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) as part of their pre-employment clearances.
