An exciting opportunity has arisen for a personal assistant to provide support to a young 20-year-old man with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, living in the family home.
18 hours are available to cover evenings and weekends.
We are looking for a caring, proactive, and a motivated individual with a passion for supporting others, ideally someone with a good sense of humour and someone who is down to earth. Someone willing to support with all aspects of care. Ideally these people will be reliable, consistent, and work in a person centred way.
Previous experience is desirable; however full training will be provided. A positive attitude and good work ethic is also essential. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A driver with a full clean license is required with insurance for work purposes.
There are 18 hours available, with an hourly rate of £12.00 per hour, plus 5.6 weeks (pro rata) paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme.
