Kickstart Your Career On our Data Management and Strategy scheme, you’ll be hands-on with real responsibilities from day one. You’ll make data the driving force behind our Group's future by setting up essential controls, ensuring trust and safety, and helping build a data-driven culture.

What You’ll Learn Over two years, you’ll be immersed in our data management principles and strategic frameworks. Start with a bootcamp to quickly get up to speed with our Group and why data is fundamental for our future and how we evolve to support our customers. Then, undertake two placements to develop core skills.
You’ll be matched up with a buddy or mentor to support you and offer guidance throughout the scheme, and you’ll have access to technical and business-aligned training, including platforms such as Viva Learning and Learning Management systems, to further help your development.
With opportunities for extracurricular activities to expand your skills and experience across the bank, and with introductions to colleague networks, you’ll make great connections to further your career.
The Work You Could Be Doing Setting up and implementing data management policies and procedures. Modernising and standardising data management approaches. Collecting, aggregating, and integrating data from various sources. Applying analytics to extract insights for strategic decisions. Monitoring and reporting on data-driven outcomes. Creating dashboards, reports, and presentations to share insights. Collaborating with other teams to support their data needs. Identifying and addressing data vulnerabilities. Supporting the implementation of the Group Data policy. Boosting data literacy and capability across our Group.
Is This for You?
Requirements
A 2:2 degree or above in any subject from any university. Students with a PhD or Masters degree are also welcome. Legal right to work in the UK, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this programme
Locations
This programme operates in various UK regional locations including London, Edinburgh, Northwest (Manchester/Chester/Cheadle), Southwest (Bristol/Cardiff) and West Yorkshire (Leeds/Halifax) regions. You’ll select one of these regional locations and will be based in various offices for the duration of your programme. We support hybrid working, with all colleagues expected to spend a minimum of two days each week in the office you have been placed.
