Job Title: Kitchen Porter (NHS Band 2)
Hours: 30 hours per week (including weekends)
Shift Pattern: 7.5 hours per day, with shifts between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM
Pay: £11.44 per hour

About the Role
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be a key part of our catering team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen facilities. Your role is essential in maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, contributing to the delivery of safe and nutritious meals for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
Assist with washing up and operating dishwashing machines.
Support the catering team by organizing and restocking supplies.
Safely handle and dispose of kitchen waste.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen.
Provide support during busy periods, including meal service preparation.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment (desirable but not essential).
A strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical tasks.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, as part of a 30-hour weekly schedule.
