Who are we?
Toyota is currently undergoing a “once in a century” transformation from a car manufacturer into a mobility services company.
Toyota Connected Europe was formed in 2018 as a key initiative of this transformation; and was created to infuse the power of big data and cloud intelligence into all aspects of the mobility experience.
TCEU creates and enables technologies that delight, simplify and connect the lives of those who use our products. We bring big data and a customer focus into all aspects of the mobility experience and wish to build a better world through enabling connected mobility for all.
What youll do?
Delivery:
* Gain a deep technical understanding of our data platform, ML platform & services, our products and drive delivery through applying structured methodology and practices (e.g., in planning, requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, acceptance testing etc.)
* Develop project schedules, define timeframes, and prioritise tasks to achieve project targets and deliver intended objectives within the agreed timeframes and ensuring that requirements are completed.
* Coordinate bringing together different teams with varied perspectives in a collaborative manner to develop solutions to issues and contribute your own suggestions. Keep the senior leadership team informed of progress toward or changes to task timing that impacts the project schedule or customer expectations.
* Lead proactive risk & dependency management, working with the team and your peers to anticipate dependencies, risks and mitigation planning.
* Manage support and maintenance tasks alongside project delivery.
* Assess bottlenecks in work processes within teams to streamline and simplify workflow.
Communication:
* Identify the stakeholders within your programme and create communication plans to ensure they are managed appropriately.
* Manage the customer expectations through regular checkpoints and status updates being transparent and open at all times.
* Provide timely communication to supporting operational teams, senior leadership team and the customer.
Collaboration:
* Work closely with senior members of our Engineering team to lead each programme.
* Bring together our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
* Work in teams across the Toyota Connected ecosystem to deliver flagship products.
Reporting and Controls:
* Manage and control programme budgets.
* Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and forecasts.
* When required, assist with presales estimation of effort for new engagements.
* Prepare for and deliver steering committee meetings, weekly status updates and additional ceremonies as required by the programme or customer.

Who You Are:
* Relevant Agile practitioner qualification required, degree level education desired; ideally skilled in a number of Project / Programme Management approaches in addition to Agile, e.g. Prince2, PMP, APM.
* Demonstrable experience of running successful programmes – comprised of multiple delivery teams using different development processes, including but not limited to DevOps, Scrum, Kanban and lean development.
* Ability to provide leadership and focus for the delivery teams, building strong capability and creating an environment that supports TCEU’s Vision and Values, whilst encouraging innovation.
* Demonstrates a critical understanding of functional information (e.g., data/metrics and technical information).
* Experience of having shaped business cases and delivering tangible benefits to an organisation with the ability to articulate value delivered in a non-technical way.
* Experience building clear, concise, and well-structured functional material (e.g. policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages) and recommends improvements to existing material.
* Communicates a compelling rationale and narrative to peers and customers alike, about the products and services produced by the team.
* Experience tailoring communications (content focus, style, format, etc.) for different audiences as appropriate.
* Actively seeks diverse feedback on work and anticipates feedback to address it proactively.
* Lives within a commutable distance to the office.
* Able to travel to the continent (20% travel).
Previous experience managing a data platform or data services is desirable but not essential.
