We are looking to recruit enthusiastic newly qualified Mental Health Nurse or Student Nurses who are due to complete their studies and who have a passion for providing the best possible nursing care to the people who use our services.
Are you wanting to progress quickly in your career? Then we provide a comprehensive continuous development program from the moment you join us. Newly qualified nurses complete a multidisciplinary preceptorship programme with strong links to the integrated care systems we serve. Our monthly career clinics will support you in mapping out your development journey and put you in contact with those who can help and support you along the way. Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is a member of the NHS Leadership Academy South, and amongst several courses and programmes, you are offered free coaching and mentoring at the points in your career where you will need it the most. We take full advantage of the education funding from HEE and ensure this is used across all staff groups and included where needed most, at the frontline.
Please note this vacancy does not offer sponsorship.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a core member of the multi-disciplinary team, participating in the provision of ongoing assessments, care planning, treatment, and support of people with serious and enduring mental health problems and people in crisis. He/she will particularly ensure access to and availability of mental health nursing skills to users of mental health services and their families.
Each of our directorates has an experienced consultant nurse who drives forward the nursing agenda in our multidisciplinary teams. We offer leadership programmes and individual coaching to help you build your career path whilst also delivering excellent nursing care. There are plenty of opportunities to access further education and be involved in learning sets with your peers. You will be encouraged to think, reflect, and explore ways of how you can continuously provide high-quality care, and we will support you to actively manage your career development.
