Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team as part of our new way of working on the bank.
This role is community based, where you will have the chance to provide nursing care as delegated by the Senior Sister/ Team Sister and implement evidence-based nursing care within patient's homes.
We will provide you with a level of training and support to bolster your skillset to work across multiple functions if this is something you are interested in.
This is the perfect opportunity for a second or third year student studying towards their nursing degree or someone who has previous care experience looking for the flexibility to book bank shifts which best suit them.
Main Responsibility
Main Responsibilities include:
1. Enabling personal care and meal preparation
2. Assisting with rehabilitation exercise programmes
3. Monitoring observations and wellbeing
4. Joint visits with qualified professionals to support with moving and handling tasks to both prevent hospital admission and facilitate discharges.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the care certificate or an equivalent health and social care qualification as this is an essential requirement for this role and proof of this will be requested if you are successful in being offered an interview.
You will be required to travel across all DGSS sites, including Dartford, Gravesend, Sittingbourne and Sheppey and since this is a community based role, a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
