The Role

Main – Upper Pay Range £31,650 – £49,084
TLR 1 - £13,913.04

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced practitioner to lead our dynamic and successful English team into the next phase of growth and development.
The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of proven experience in a leadership role within an English Department, with a track record of managing outcomes and a strong commitment to further enhancing teaching and learning across all key stages.

Our English Department is a collaborative and supportive team of 11 members, including an Assistant Headteacher, Second in Department/KS4 Co-ordinator, KS3 Co-ordinator, Lead Teacher, Head of Literacy, Head of Year, and Deputy Head of Year.
At GCSE, students study AQA English Language and Eduqas English Literature. Fostering a love of reading is a core priority at Dormston, and this is woven throughout our curriculum.
