Here at EMIS, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our highly capable and talented EMIS-X product team on a 12 month fixed term contract. As a business we are going through a period of growth you will be pivotal in understanding and gathering requirements from both our customers and internal stakeholders for our Research and Life Sciences product. As a Business Analyst you will be aligned to our ‘Recruit’ and ‘Explorer’ products that are shaping the next evolutionary stage in health data analytics for clinical trials. What you’ll do As a Business Analyst, we will look to you to be the key interface between our customers, users and our internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for understanding the expectations for our product by gathering and defining requirements and document process to support our product and engineering teams. You will perform data and market analysis to identify customer and business needs. From desk research to internal stakeholder and customer communication, your analysis will feed into product features and understanding compatible customer requirements to drive the quality of our product. Other key responsibilities: Analyse and document customer and user requirements to support the product team in developing the product roadmap Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and constrains Analyse and document systems, processes and procedures in order to support the product team in designing new features Analyse product data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform product and strategic decisions Who you’ll be You will be a proven and seasoned Business Analyst with the ability to communicate and document findings to the wider business, and you will be able to demonstrate previous experience of innovating concepts into requirements. As a data driven BA, you will have an understanding of relevant data technologies such as SQL, business intelligence tools and data analysis. Cliche as it sounds, collaboration is essential. You will be able to evidence success of building trusted and credible relationships with customers to understand their requirements. With some experience of market research, you will be able to demonstrate collating insights that inform product decisions preferably in the Research and Life Sciences industry. Technical skills we are looking for you to demonstrate include; Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills. Ability to influence key stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions. Excellent documentation skills, with experience of documenting systems and requirements.
