Salary: Marie Curie Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £23,970 per annum+ enhancements

The Marie Curie Hospice, in Penarth, provides high quality care for patients, and their friends and families, within a comfortable environment overlooking the beautiful Bristol Channel.
As a Catering Assistant, you will be joining our existing, friendly and committed team to deliver a high-quality food service to our patients, visitors, staff, volunteers and members of the public. Operating flexibly between our kitchen and our cafe you will be working to ensure we maintain our level 5 food hygiene rating and excellent customer care.

What we are looking for:
* To have knowledge of and practice all regulations of food hygiene
* Some cooking skills with the ability to contribute towards menus
* Awareness of health and safety issues in the workplace
* Experience/knowledge of working in a catering department/kitchen/cafe
* Knowledge of maintaining a clean, tidy, safe and hygienic environment
Experience of working in a similar environment is essential, together with excellent communication and customer service skills. A basic food hygiene qualification is desirable but not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate.
