Bookkeeper

We are inviting a proficient Bookkeeper to join our client at a charitable organisation in Faversham. This role is a cornerstone of our finance department, offering a chance to significantly contribute to our charitable efforts. Prior experience in the charity sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Maintain precise financial records and document transactions.
* Collaborate with the accounting team to analyse financial data and compile reports.
* Uphold timely and accurate bookkeeping practices.
* Manage ledgers, process invoices, and reconcile bank statements.
* Prepare VAT returns and assist with budgeting processes.
* Oversee payroll functions and ensure compliance with financial laws and guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven bookkeeping experience.
* Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
* Proficiency in accounting software and excellent numerical skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
* Attention to detail with the capability to produce and interpret financial reports.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Charity sector experience is preferred but not essential.
