Full time/ Part-time/ job-share considered Carshalton College are seeking a Lecturer/Assessor to teach, train and assess students on College Beauty programmes within the Curriculum up to Level 5 courses. Providing relevant student support, you will carry out assessments, evaluations and other administrative duties relating to the post and embed the development of Employability Skills alongside English and Maths in all teaching practice. Acting as a tutor and assessor on Beauty courses and other courses for the curriculum as required, you will complete IVing responsibilities as appropriate, support students with running a commercial salon and liaise with employers and other external agencies as required. With experience of teaching/training and assessing in Beauty, we ask that you are educated to degree level (or hold relevant professional qualifications) in an appropriate subject, hold Assessor awards (TDLB D32, 33 or A1 and V1) and have a minimum stage 3 teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards). With the understanding of the changing agenda for further education and the implications that this has for the delivery and promotion of learning, you will have a range of teaching strategies that meet individual learning needs and a demonstrated ability to teach/train/assess and to communicate at a level appropriate to the students and in a way that recognizes their different learning needs and abilities. The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that is implemented in the new academic year.
