Role: Senior Commercial Manager
Location: Reading (minimum 2 days)
Salary: Circa £650 p/d outside IR35 depending on experience
Opportunity:
Manage Contract Development and Performance Management with focus on Drafting NEC contract terms to meet business and scope requirements of the Commercial Strategy.
1. Work with Commercial to understand Strategy
2. Work with legal to assure and publish contracts
3. Provide centre of excellence for NEC Contract Intelligence, Cost Intelligence, Performance Management
4. Act as Commercial Performance Manager (Supplier Performance)
5. Agree KPIs and develop a commercial environment to enforce, report and drive performance standards enabling supplier delivery and success
6. Create performance culture of risk management and financial control (Contract Management)
7. Build relationships in order to translate needs and foster collaboration and cooperation.
The Senior Commercial Manager will manage the day-to-day commercial needs of our projects. Using skills, knowledge and experience you will provide expert advice and guidance in contract management and commercial performance, ensuring key performance metrics are built into contracts to assure delivery whilst capturing early warnings, monitoring and building robust action plans, resolving issues and mitigating risks. You will capture, manage & monitor all processes, procedures, and negotiations in relation to contract and client performance and ensure all legislative and contract requirements are adhered to.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Requirements
1. Min of 10-15 years previous experience working within a Commercial/Contract Management role.
2. Excellent knowledge of the NEC Suite of Contracts
3. Excellent knowledge of commercial and financial principles, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
5. Strong organisational abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
6. Understanding of risk analysis and management, with the ability to resolve problems at an early stage.
7. Ability to travel when required throughout the UK to attend site visits, project meetings, etc.
