Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with a lovely organisation in Wells who are on the search for a Finance Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone with a good financial background who has strong interpersonal skills and is looking to make a significant impact in a community-focused environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
1. Act as the primary financial contact for community partners, offering support and guidance on financial responsibilities.
2. Manage the administration of the contribution system, ensuring contributions are collected and properly allocated.
3. Provide targeted fundraising support and advise on appropriate accounting treatments.
4. Facilitate the submission of financial statements and returns by partners, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
5. Visit partners occasionally to provide direct support and build relationships.
6. Assist in general financial processes within the Finance Team, including sales ledger management and debtor reconciliations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Accounting qualification or relevant experience in financial management.
2. Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and bank reconciliations.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and capable of learning new accounting software.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly.
5. Experience in working collaboratively across teams and building effective relationships.
