Are you looking for a new career move? Fairway Tyres is one of Watford's largest and most respected garages and we're now looking for qualified mechanics to join the team.
Roles & Responsibilities for the Mechanic role:
* Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance work to high standards
* Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostics equipment
* Repairing/replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects
* Maintaining equipment
* Road testing vehicles to check repairs
* Following checklists
* Helping junior members of staff (when required)
Essential Skills for the Mechanic role:
* Practical experience working in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a busy team
* Proactive and able to work at a good pace
* Attention to detail
* Ability to follow instructions (both verbal and written)
* A full, clean driving licence
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
Saturday - 8:30am - 1:00pm (alternate)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
