Are you looking for a rewarding role that makes a difference in someone’s life? At London Road, we are committed to supporting people with not only their daily needs but to build life skills and reach their personal goals. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team; they need to be committed to the ongoing care and support of people living at the service.
Please note it is an essential requirement of this role that you hold a full, clean, UK Driving Licence.
London Road, (also known as Byways), is a service supporting eight individuals to live in a positive environment and in the way they choose. The staff team are welcoming, supportive, and experienced. As a service, they promote dignity and respect, encouraging independence and inclusion for all the people that live there, supporting the people we support to enjoy activities both in and out of the home. Staff are committed to helping people with learning disabilities and dementia to live rich, meaningful lives where their choices and rights are respected.
We currently support eight adults with learning disabilities to achieve their daily goals. To do so, we provide access to the community, supporting people to participate in the clubs and activities of their choice. Due to the location of the service, there are many amenities within walking distance, meaning the people we support can build positive relationships in the local community.
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
1. Encouraging positive self-image and maintaining health and wellbeing.
2. Assisting with decision-making and promoting independence.
3. Supporting people to develop and maintain contact with family and friends.
4. Providing access to the community, enabling the people we support to participate in sports clubs, social events, and creative endeavours.

* Company pension scheme, to help grow your retirement pot
* Learning and development opportunities to help you build your career, including a comprehensive induction programme, and the opportunity to undertake further qualifications
