Mechanical Engineering Technician
Location: Near Cardiff

Your Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineering Technician, your focus will be on minimising downtime and improving plant reliability:
- Respond to breakdowns and contribute to long-term reliability strategies
- Use FMEA, RCM, and predictive maintenance (PdM) tools
- Maintain and repair pumps, boilers, compressors, pipelines, and pressure vessels
- Operate condition monitoring tools (vibration, thermography, ultrasound)
- Keep CMMS systems up-to-date and enhance maintenance workflows
- Supervise contractors during shutdowns, turnarounds, and projects
What We're Looking For
- Completed Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications
- Hands-on, practical experience in mechanical maintenance
- Familiarity with industrial safety systems (CMMS, permits, risk assessments)
- Previous work in heavy industrial or COMAH environments is highly desirable
