Were looking for bank staff to join our small team of carers looking after a wonderful, fun-loving gentleman in his fifties, living with his parents in Armitage. Despite his complex health conditions (including Cerebral Palsy, Scoliosis, Dysphagia and Sleep Apnoea amongst others), he is always smiling and is a joy to care for. Both day and night shift working will be required. Experience in the care industry would be preferable, although full training will be given. On a normal day the role will include personal and continence care, administration of medicines through a PEG feed, providing stimulation such as reading or helping with arts & crafts, and hoisting between bed and chair. Occasionally, you may need to accompany the gentleman to appointments such as the dentist or hospital, however transport will be provided. At night, the role will involve monitoring the gentleman on a waking night shift basis and providing personal care when needed.
