We are looking for an Administration Assistant to join the Section 106 Monitoring Team at East Lindsey District Council working across the South East Lincolnshire Council Partnership.
As part of the team, within the Planning Service, you will help administrate, allocate and monitor Section 106 developer contributions to enable the effective delivery of local and regional infrastructure.
What is section 106?
Section 106 (S106) agreements are legal agreements between a planning authority and a developer, or undertakings offered unilaterally by a developer, that ensure that certain extra works related to a development are undertaken.
They are most widely used to support transport infrastructure improvements, although there are also examples of obligations being used to support training initiatives, environmental improvements and corporate objectives, as well as to mitigate the impacts of development.
What is expected from me?
You will be part of a small friendly team, working alongside the wider planning services, across the 3 councils. Main tasks will include:
Manage data and information systems for efficient service delivery.
Prepare data for reports and meetings.
Raising purchase orders / invoices for the planning service.
Support the service by dealing with queries from customers, developers and other outside bodies, via various means of communication.
Aiding the Team Leader with FOIs and Condition Compliance enquiries
What do we need from you?
A good communicator with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Proficient in data entry with a keen eye for accuracy and consistent record keeping, including good knowledge of excel spreadsheets.
Ability to prioritise and manage daily tasks under own initiative.
A flexible and adaptable approach to the role; able to work well within a team as well as on own initiative.
This is a busy and varied role and full training will be given, but some administration experience is desirable.

Hours and location
Our Partnership has an Agile Working policy, giving employees the option to work across any of our Council Office locations and touch down points and to option to work remotely. We also have a flexible approach to working hours (subject to agreement with Line Managers).
Whilst this position has been created on a Full-Time basis, we are also open to discussions with part time candidates however, a minimum of 30hrs per week would be required to meet business needs.
This position is a shared role within the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP) and forms part of the S113 agreement between the participating partnership Councils in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement 1st October 2021.
