We are currently looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our friendly Finance Team, based at our headquarters in Ampfield, Hampshire on a full-time permanent basis of 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Free access to the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Romsey and deals at other gardens nationally Key responsibilities: Checking and processing EPOS paperwork for designated Garden Centres. Clearing/matching invoices with purchase orders with our EPOS system to import to finance package. Raising and resolving invoice queries with appropriate team members. Processing claims for credit notes and chasing overdue credits from suppliers. Reconciliation of supplier statements and obtaining and processing of missing invoices/credit notes Manual invoice/credit note data input including ensuring VAT compliance. Dealing with supplier queries. General office duties, including dealing with post, scanning documents. Administration of the purchase ledger inbox, ensuring invoices are captured correctly by our document management systems. Skills and experience: Numerate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communicator. The ability to join and integrate into an existing team. The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. To be able to take responsibility for your workload. IT literate with experience with Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel. Practical experience of working in a fast-paced finance department.
