NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Cash Manager to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first. You will be a key member of the Finance Team, managing cash and reporting the forecast and actual cash position for SCCL. The role will seek to enhance the NHS Supply Chain’s management of its cash.
We are seeking an experienced Cash Manager who will have responsibility for managing the daily cash, processing payments, working with the bank, reporting the actual and forecast cash position across SCCL covering consumables, capital, maintenance and corporate spend and ensuring alignment to stakeholder requirements. The postholder will drive improvements in the end-to-end process identifying root causes of forecast inaccuracies and taking these back to the business to support with the resolution.
Every day you will …
Prepare cash forecasts to support the provision of the working capital facility and for SCCL internal reporting.
Build strong cash forecasting models, with embedded reconciliations built in, to ensure robust accurate forecasts.
Advise on future cash drawdowns or repayments based on the forecast cash position and administering these drawdowns and repayments.
Monitor cash position vs the forecast to measure forecast accuracy and implementing improvements to drive greater accuracy.
Drive improvements in the end-to-end process by identifying root causes of forecast inaccuracies and taking these back to the business to drive resolution.
Provide analysis on the cash position of SCCL to support decision making and risk management.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?
Previous experience as a Treasury/Cash manager role is an essential
Highly proficient in Excel and cash forecasting.
The ability to analyse financial statements, cash flow reports and other data to make informed decisions.
The ability to address and resolve cash flow issues promptly and efficiently.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
High attention to detail ensuring accuracy in financial records, transactions and reports.
